Our congress will be organized in partnership with universities from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and North Macedonia.

Our congress will be organized in Marmaris Pineta Park Hotel (https://www.pinetapark.com).

 

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

The congress is open to anyone who intends to present a paper or attend the sessions, with priority given to the authors of the papers/performances/exhibitions. Detailed information on abstract submission, participation fee, publication of papers, etc. can be found in the relevant sections.

In order for the abstract and the full-text paper to be published in the “The Congress Abstract Book” and “12th International Music and Dance Congress Proceedings Book” with ISBN number, the participants must complete congress registration procedures, present the paper at the congress and send the full-text for the evaluation. Only those papers that have passed the referee's review will be published.

All the participants who present a paper at the congress will be given a “Certificate of Presentation”. The presenter must be one of the authors of the paper. A “Certificate of Participation” will be given, upon request, to the participants who attend the congress and do not make a presentation.

Those who intend to perform a performance/workshop/masterclass must fulfil the requirements of the “Performance and Workshop” section. As a result of the evaluation (referee/jury member) of the Art Board, the “Performance Award” is given in general or according to the fields.

Those who intend to organize an exhibition must fulfil the requirements of the “exhibition” section. As a result of the evaluation (referee/jury member) of the Art Board, the “Exhibition Award” is given in general or according to the fields.

DESCRIPTIONS

The payment document must contain the name and surname of the authors or presenters of the performance/exhibition. The fee must be transferred to any of the bank accounts indicated above until 15 May 2024, Wednesday evening. Otherwise, even if the paper/performance//workshop/masterslass/exhibition is accepted, it will not be included in the congress program and the presentation/exhibition will be canceled.

Those who deposit the fee to the wrong account, are not included in the program due to incomplete or late deposit, pay the fee despite the rejection of the paper/performance/workshop/masterclass/exhibition do not attend, the congress even though they have paid the fee, and do not present their paper/performance/workshop/masterclass/exhibition despite attending the congress, participation fees will not be refunded or published.

The fact that the author/authors of the report or the performers of paper/performance/workshop/exhibition are members of the congress does not waive the obligation to pay the relevant fee.

 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Please do not submit abstracts without reading the entire announcement. Otherwise, your abstract will not be evaluated.

All abstracts that are accepted and presented at the congress will be published in the “Congress Abstract Book” on our congress website. It is important that the abstract form is filled out completely in order for the referee evaluation process to work properly.

Abstract Requirements:

  1. Abstract must be submitted in Turkish and English. In addition to English and Turkish abstract which is obligatory, abstract in other languages is optional.
  2. Abstract should be minimum 200 - maximum 500 words.
  3. Abstract should contain the aim of the study, method, findings and conclusion related to the study. The sub-heading should not be used.
  4. At least 5 keywords related to the study must be specified.
  5. If the abbreviation is used in the abstract, the expansion of the abbreviation must be specified in parentheses.

on-site and ONLINE FULL-TEXT PAPER REQUIREMENTS

Please do not send the full-text of the paper without reading the entire announcement. Papers prepared without following the spelling rules will not be evaluated regardless of their author/authors and/or content.

 

  1. Papers can be submitted in the language of your choice.
  2. MS Word Times New Roman should be as follows:
    • Paper Title (Bold - 12 Pt.)
    • Abstract (10 Pt.)
    • Main Text (12 Pt.)
    • Text of tables, figures, pictures, etc. (10 Pt.)
    • Footnotes (10 Pt.)
  1. The page layout should be in A4 size and the page margins should be adjusted to 2.5 cm in all directions (right-left-bottom-top).
  2. All text must be 6 pt spaced before and after, with line spacing of one line, width alignment on both sides. No indent should be used.
  3. Names and surnames of the author/authors should be written under the title of the paper, in 12 pt, bold and aligned to the centre.
  4. The academic degree of the author/authors, the name of the institution and the e-mail address must be written in 10 pt as a footnote, a link to which (asterisk (*) must be placed at the end of the author's surname.
  5. Regardless of the language in which the paper is presented, there should be an abstract of at least 200 and a maximum of 500 words and at least five keywords in Turkish and English. Abstract should include the purpose, method, findings and results related to the study and should not use subtitles. In addition to English and Turkish abstract which is obligatory, abstract in other languages is optional.
  6. A full-text paper should not exceed 20 pages. Notes, tables, pictures, figures, etc. in the text should be aligned to the centre.

References

  1. The citations to be included in the text should be written in parentheses, including the surname of the author, year of publication and page number. If it is a single-author publication, citations format is (Gülbeyaz, 1900: 47), in case if there are two authors the citation format is (Yazıcı and Gülbeyaz, 1900: 47) and in case of many authors (Mammadova et al., 1900: 47).
  2. Quotation of speech or other oral sources should be indicated in the text. For example; (Personal interview with Gülbeyaz, 01.01.1900) or (In our meeting with Gülbeyaz...).
  3. In case of the usage of the internet source, the web page and date should be specified in the text. Sample: (www.imdcongress.com 01.01.1900).
  4. In the bibliography, the author’s surname (major) and name, the title of the work, year of publication, place of publication, and other information should be included. The page number should not be given in the bibliography.
  5. References should be prepared alphabetically according to the surnames of the authors and chronological order should be used for multiple sources of the same author.
  1. In bibliography written sources, oral sources, internet sources should be written with sub-headings.

 

POSTER REQUIREMENTS

Please do not send the full-text of the paper without reading the entire announcement. Papers prepared without following the spelling rules will not be evaluated regardless of their author/authors and/or content.

 

  1. Posters can be submitted in the language of your choice.
  1. The size of the poster should be 70 cm x 90 cm (Vertical-Portrait).
  2. The title of the poster must be 48 pt. Times New Roman, bold, capitalized and aligned to the centre.
  3. Names and surnames of the author/authors should be written in 36 pt (bold). The academic degree of the author/authors, the name of the institution and the e-mail address must be written in 18 pt and single line spacing, under the title, and aligned to the centre.
  4. The poster text, table and drawings should be 1.5-line spacing and designed to be easily seen from 2 meters away.
  5. The quotations and references should be written according to the congress’s full-text paper requirements.

Note: Poster presentation will be exhibited on the boards at specific hours and dates which the Organization Board will determine and announce. Each poster’s author should stand by his or her poster(s) during the whole poster session and give information about his or her works. The poster(s) without the author’s attendance certainly will not be exhibited and will not publish.

 

On-Site, ONLINE AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Special sessions will be held after the first-day opening speeches in order to benefit from the accumulation of personalities in the fields of statesmen, rectors, academicians, writers and artists who will attend our Congress.

On-site and online presentation time is 15 minutes. The presentation which exceeds the time limit will be terminated by the chairman of the session. The link to the online presentation program will be announced in the congress program.

A poster presentation is limited to 30 minutes each. Poster presentations will not be held simultaneously with on-site and online presentation sessions.

It is important to manage the timing of presentations both in terms of providing information without interruption and in terms of the congress program.

 

PUBLICATION OF papers

All abstracts that are included in the congress program and that have been presented will be published in the “Congress Abstract Book” on the congress website.

The full-text papers being presented at the congress, will undergo the refereeing process and if accepted they will be published in the “12th International Music and Dance Congress Proceedings Book” with ISBN number, upon requests of the author/authors.

Papers whose full-texts are not sent until 30 June 2024 Sunday will not be included in the book of Congress.

The papers that are not presented at the Congress by their author(s) will not be published even if they are included in the Congress program.

 

PERFORMANCE and WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Performance participation can be done live and recorded (video). Performances should be maximum of 10 minutes; workshops should be maximum of 30 minutes.

Performance and workshop applications will be accepted or rejected according to the evaluation of the “Art Committee”. Acceptance letters will be sent to the accepted performance and workshop owners and the performance information will be included in the Congress program.

It is not required to present a paper in order to participate in a performance and/or workshop. Participants who will participate only with performance and/or will pay a Performance/Workshop/Exhibition Participation Fee. Information about the fee and the congress account number can be accessed from the “Congress Fee” link, and information about the congress schedule can be found from the “Congress Place and Date” link.

“Performance/Workshop Presentation Certificate” will be given to all participants who attend with performance and/or workshop. As a result of the evaluation of the Art Committee, “Performance Awards” will be given on a general basis or by sections.

Performances will not be arranged simultaneously with on-site, online and poster presentations.

 

EXHIBITION PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Participants who intend to participate in the Congress with “Exhibition” should send their artwork and the Exhibition Application Form by e-mail to Bu e-Posta adresi istenmeyen posta engelleyicileri tarafından korunuyor. The applications will be accepted or rejected according to the evaluation of the “Art Committee”. Acceptance letters will be sent to the authors of the accepted artworks and the work information of the works will be included in the Congress program.

It is not required to present a paper in order to participate in the exhibition. Participants who will participate only in the exhibition will pay the Performance/Workshop/Exhibition Participation Fee”. Information about the exhibition fee and congress account number can be accessed from the “Congress Fee” link, and information about the congress schedule can be found from the “Congress Place and Date” link.

“Exhibition Participation Certificate” will be given to all participants participating in the congress with the exhibition. The images of the works will be included in the “Congress Abstract Book” and “12th International Music and Dance Congress Proceedings Book” with ISBN number. As a result of the evaluation of the Art Committee, “Exhibition Award” will be given on a general basis or by sections.

The exhibition is open to all art disciplines (such as Painting, Printing, Photography, Ceramics, Ceramics, Traditional Turkish Arts). The theme of the exhibition is free and each artist can participate in the exhibition with a maximum of 3 works that have not been exhibited before. It is free to use all kinds of technology and material in the works.

The delivery and return expenses of the accepted works belong to the owner/authors of the works. Our congress and congress committees are not responsible for any delays, damages, or losses that may occur in the works as a result of the shipment and other situations after the works are delivered. The work that has been damaged in any way will not be exhibited.

Congress coordinators can use the images of the works without the permission of the authors.
